Benny's Summer Romance
Benny’s Journal — Resort Day 3
Only Natlan could have fireworks, drums, and Mualani all in the same day - and somehow she’s still the loudest.
She’s been dragging me around all day. Not that I’m complaining or anything. She’s like a one-girl parade - talks to everyone, tries everything, never slows down. Even when she’s just walking she’s twirling her braid or swinging her hips in that skirt with the tassels that… yeah.
Hard to keep my eyes on where I’m stepping when her skirt’s swaying just enough to flash those shorts underneath. Every time the breeze catches it I feel like I’m gonna trip over my own feet. Which, knowing my luck, shouldn’t be a problem - except lately it feels less like falling down and more like… falling for her.
Wow, that’s cheesy. Whatever!
She laughs at everything. Even my terrible jokes. And when she talks to you it’s like you’re the only person in the whole world. We held hands crossing the boardwalk - she said it was so I wouldn’t wander into trouble but she didn’t let go for a while after.
Starting to think these lucky pants might not be the only thing making my summer.
